Position: Software Engineering - Analyst/Associate

Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical and operational risks in a dynamic, multi-asset electronic trading environment.
  • Gain a deep understanding of end-to-end flows across applications at a business level.
  • Own and enhance the production environment through continuous improvement, focusing on performance, reliability, and operability.
  • Develop software solutions to create sustainable systems and services that meet uptime and performance requirements through automation.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and resolve systematic issues effectively.
  • Investigate innovative ways to improve operations and define solutions to address complex technical system challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings in support processes and physical environments.
  • Troubleshoot live production issues that are critical and time-sensitive, collaborating with software and infrastructure engineering teams to mitigate and resolve problems promptly.
  • Lead incident management efforts, providing tactical and strategic solutions to issues.
  • Interact proactively with traders to communicate technology changes, manage incidents, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive technical work experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern structured programming language, such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design.
  • Experience with Linux operating system internals and/or networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly assess the scope and impact of issues under high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging, optimizing code, and automation.
  • Knowledge of financial markets.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol.
