Position: Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, code, and test software systems or applications within the scope of a defined, end-to-end project.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including project timeline creation, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, and documentation.
  • Contribute to testing and ongoing support of systems.
  • Work closely under the supervision of a mentor with regular weekly check-ins to ensure progress and guidance.

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • A strong academic record with at least one semester/quarter remaining after the internship.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with a mainstream programming language like Go or Python, and experience with TypeScript and React.
  • Foundational knowledge of security practices in software development.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development and writing various levels of automated tests (unit, functional, integration, system, or performance/load tests).
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
