Position: Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain tools and web applications to automate security tasks and strengthen organizational security.
• Integrate security automation tools and processes within the CI/CD pipeline for continuous security testing and compliance.
• Create threat models to identify risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
• Conduct security architecture and design reviews to resolve issues in applications and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive security testing plans.
• Review source code to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, prioritizing and addressing identified vulnerabilities.
• Develop proof of concept (PoC) exploits and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Address complex vulnerabilities, such as business logic flaws, and effectively communicate solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3 to 6 years in Application Security, with hands-on technical expertise.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of web application security threats, exploits, and prevention methods (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF).
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or Node.js, with experience building security tools.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s), cloud security, WAF, Bot management, and securing web/mobile applications.
  • Experience implementing cryptographic controls and integrating SAST controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Additional Experience:
  • Exposure to Red Team exercises, threat hunting, and OSINT practices.
  • Mobile security testing experience; knowledge of Selenium and Appium is a plus.
  • Strong time management, ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
  • A Financial Services or Fintech background is an advantage, along with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
